Deep Calleth Deep Conference I

Hello everyone!!

I have the best entry for you all. Yes, I know I am starting off going 100 miles per hour, but this is going to be one awesome entry!!! So to start from the beginning…

In October, Brother Doan was telling my dad about this really awesome Conference in Singapore/Malaysia. Actually it is held by Bishop Willoughby’s church, Tabernacle of Joy, but the conference was in Malaysia. So my dad started thinking about it and asked us if we wanted to go and we said yes. So he thought about it some more and finally bought the tickets. So on Sunday afternoon, we came home from church, finished packing, then went to pick up Brother Yokoyama, who went with us. Then we started the drive to Haneda airport.

Here is the Rainbow Bridge.

And here is looking back over across toward the horizon and seeing all the buildings lit up.

100_6394

And a really cool looking Ferris wheel.

100_6399

When we got to the airport and found our gate and we sat down to take a rest until everyone started boarding. So I snapped these of our plane.

100_6401

And here is the escalator that we had to go down to get to the walkway to get to the plane.

100_6402

And the cool thing (well, not so cool thing) was that since I was on my crutches, they let us go up in the priority line. And since Brother Yokoyama was with us, he got to go through the priority line with us. A lady came to us in the line and said “You can come to the priority line”. So we all went in there and the lady took us to an elevator so I could get down without having to take the escalator down.

And here is the last thing we saw before we took off.

100_6403

And here shows our flight path when we were almost to Singapore.

100_6407

And this is the sunrise as we were getting closer to Singapore.

100_6410

100_6413

And here are some of the city lights as we were landing.

100_6414

100_6418

And here you can see the sunrise and the city lights.

100_6420

And at this point, I was getting a little nervous. We were going down to land, but we were right over the water. Beck was like, “Um, this is just a little too close for comfort.”

100_6427

100_6428

And here we are half over water, half over land.

100_6430

And here we are landing.

100_6431

100_6432

And here is the Changi Airport, the airport in Singapore.

100_6440

And here is a little food stand at the airport. Here they have some whole ducks and chickens.

100_6441

100_6442

And here is a little treat thing that they had at the airport. It was like a shaved ice thing but it had different flavors in it. It was called the Singapore favorite or something like that. And then there was some bean type stuff on top. It was good, but I was getting full from my Popeyes that we had for lunch.

100_6443

100_6445

And here is Brother Yokoyama.

100_6444

And here is Brother Yokoyama, my dad, and my mom.

100_6446

And here is Beck and I sitting at the food court.

100_6448

And then my dad and Brother Yokoyama in deep conversation. Well, looking deep in conversation. My mom is just watching them.

100_6454

100_6455

After we ate, we went back downstairs to meet the people who were going to pick us up, which happened to be Brother Jeffery. There was another guy there, but I don’t remember his name. We had landed in Singapore at about 6:30 a.m. then we had to stay there until 12:30 p.m. when Brother Jeffery picked us up.

And this was called Newton’s Circus. This was the meeting place. It was not actually a circus, but just a place where there were some restaurants were.

100_6457

100_6458

100_6459

So after chilling here for a bit, we got into the bus and headed to the the immigration stations, and Malaysia.

Brother Dabbs had some of the ministers get up and introduce themselves. This is Brother Doan. And then Brother Allen Shalm. Sorry the second picture is blurry.

100_6463

100_6464

100_6467

And this was in the middle of no-man’s land. No, I’m serious. We were in the middle between Singapore and Malaysia.

100_6468

100_6471

100_6472

100_6474

100_6475

And here is the Malaysian skyline.

100_6476

Brother Harvey, a missionary to Australia, also spoke, but the road was so bumpy, I couldn’t get a good picture. Brother Dabbs also asked my dad and Brother Yokoyama to speak. I can’t remember if anyone else spoke or not.

Also, here is another tall tower that was standing out above all the trees.

100_6481

100_6482

And some more buildings.

100_6483

And this was right in front of the Thistle Hotel. And then the actual Thistle Hotel itself.

100_6485

100_6486

And here is Brother Yokoyama speaking.

100_6488

100_6489

And here is the drop-off in the front of the Thistle.

100_6493

100_6490

100_6491

And this cute little building across the street.

100_6492

And looking out from mine and Beck’s room.

100_6495

And this is the road that actually leads to nowhere. Or the bridge rather.

100_6496

And these are all the pools out front.

100_6497

100_6506

And still looking out.

100_6498

100_6499

100_6500

100_6502

And someone said that that yellow-ish building across the street was like a mosque or something.

And this is looking at the other side of the Thistle.

100_6505

That is all I’m going to put on this entry. Please come back for the next entry, which will show all about all the services.

Thanks so much!!
